Meet Betsy Wentz, Owner and Principal Interior Designer
Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Betsy Wentz is an award-winning interior designer known for her vibrant use of color and pattern. After earning a master’s degree in mental health counseling, Betsy blended her background in psychology with a lifelong love of design to create spaces that feel joyful, deeply personal, and liveable, wherever that may be.
In 2011, she founded her full-service interior design firm, Betsy Wentz Interior Design. Ever since, she’s been serving clients across Pittsburgh, the East Coast, the Midwest, and the South, especially Maine, Florida, Ohio, and Dallas, Texas. Today, her Sewickley showroom is a truly immersive setting where her clients can see and feel fabrics, wallpapers, paint colors, and custom furnishings.
Her work has been featured in House Beautiful, Traditional Home, VERANDA, and Elle Décor, among others, and she’s been recognized by Pittsburgh Magazine for Best Overall Design and Best Renovation.
Betsy’s first book, Design Happy (Gibbs Smith, 2023), celebrates family homes filled with color, pattern, and personality. She is a member of the Design Leadership Network and was selected as a designer for the Kips Bay Showhouse, Palm Beach, in 2022 and 2024. She was also chosen a a featured designer for the Hamptons Designer Showhouse, New York, in 2019 and 2025.
