Kips Bay Palm Beach 2020 Featured in Architectural Digest
We are honored that our Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach 2020 Master Bathroom and Custom Closets at Bamboo Hill, 260 Palmetto Lane were featured in AD PRO's January 2020 tour - "Tour the Kips Bay Show House Palm Beach."
The 8,751-square-foot West Palm Beach estate in the South End was transformed by 19 design firms for its third annual Florida iteration, benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Our collaboration was with Tom Kirchhoff of Kirchhoff and Associates Architects in Jupiter, FL.
The Challenge:
We had just under 3 months to reconfigure a dated 1980s bath and two windowless closets. Two of three rooms had no windows, requiring major lighting, demolition, and construction. We moved toilets to create open access to the men's dressing area, reworked the shower, and removed the built-in tub.

The Design Solution:
1. Bold Color & Pattern: A Kohler Abrazo freestanding tub surrounded by lilac mosaic tile by Ceramic Matrix anchors the bath. Custom vanities lacquered in Benjamin Moore Kiwi Green pair with Kohler Iron Plains sinks in gray-lavender.
2. Wallpapers on Walls and Ceilings:
We used 11 Schumacher wallpapers — from tropical pineapple and leafy prints to stars and animal prints — on walls and ceilings for a soft, cohesive, maximalist feel. Feminine spaces transition from medium-bright to bold navy and orange; the men's closet uses black and gray.
3. Light Through a Pass-Through Shower: We created a shared glass pass-through shower to bring light into the windowless dressing areas, finished with draperies by The Shade Store and custom-embroidered towels by Pioneer Linens.
This Kips Bay collaboration led to future projects, including a Modern Luxury Palm Beach feature.
